Black is my favorite color, Tim Burton is my religion, Brand New, Death Cab For Cutie, …And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, Evanescence, Panic! at the Disco, and every other emo band you can think of are the soundtrack to my heart, so obviously it should be no surprise that I’ve always considered Wednesday Addams a soul sister. However, as I’ve gotten older, I like to think that my all black wardrobe has evolved from emotionally devoid to cheerfully monotone.
In honor of the release of Wednesday on Netflix I decided to put together some specifically inspired outfits.

This outfit is also giving me Blair Waldorf (Gossip Girl) or Kathryn Merteuil (Cruel Intentions) vibes. When I started thinking of a great Wednesday Addams outfit, this outfit immediately shaped in my mind.
This sweater has been a wardrobe staple of mine for years, I’ve had these leggings for months and been trying to figure out how I wanted to style them to wear out in the world, and this shirt is one I’ve had in my donate pile multiple times, because I could never find an outfit for it, but something always held me back…clearly this outfit was just meant to be.

Sweater: ASOS
Shirt: Abercrombie
Leggings: Dolls Kill
Boots: Dr. Martens
Outfit 2:
This outfit is what I was directly referring to when I said that my alternative style had “evolved.” I would still consider this look edgy and cool, but it’s also elegant and even “work friendly.” I’d say this outfit may be like a Wednesday/Miss Weems mash-up.

Shirt: Eloquii
Skirt: Maurices
Flats: Christian Siriano for Payless (RIP)
Outfit 3:
This outfit is all about edgy angst. The pleather skirt partnered with the larger sweater makes it more casual and could easily be worn with a pair of boots, too. This outfit is Enid goes Gothic.

Sweater: Gap
Skirt: ASOS
Flats: Christian Siriano for Payless (RIP)
Outfit 4:
This is my true Wednesday Addams outfit. I found this dress on Amazon and loved it. Truly, this look has never gone out of style and I don’t foresee a time when it ever will.

Dress: Amazon
Tights: Amazon
Loafers: Torrid
Let me know which look you’d rock and which character’s style you identify with best.
XOXO, Tara
