I’m not usually someone who likes a shift dress, because with my small chest and big hips it tends to look a bit like a tent, but I’m loving the graphic tee shirt front accessorized with a cross body to help pull in the shape and the styling makes this look the right kind of edgy for me.

I’ve been avoiding these dresses since last year because to me they read a little too middle aged mom, but after putting it on, I’m happy to say that I was wrong.

Instead of just acting like a random tie to hide your stomach, it actually pulls in to give your hips and butt more shape and looks pretty good in black!

I’m loving the retro vibe of this dress. I have it tied pretty tight so that I can wear a bra underneath, but if you wanted to you could easily boob tape instead to let a little skin show at the tie, too.

I’m calling this a golf dress because it’s not the moisture wicking fabric of a tennis dress, but either way the polo dress is going to be a popular one this year.

To add a little more of my alternative/millennial goth style I paired it with my vans, a dark lip, and a hat that reads “may contain alcohol” haha.
