I’m four months into my “series” of outfits inspired by women I follow on Instagram using only pieces from my wardrobe. Below are two more that showcase two very different sides of my personality: professional Tara and alternative Tara.
Shop the looks on my LTK.it and I’ll also link out to the profiles of the women who inspired me so you can go give them a follow as well!
Outfit 1: Professional Tara
This outfit was inspired by Nena Evans (@nenaevans). Nena and I are very different body types. I believe she is normally a small – however, I love her classic office outfits and often get inspired to recreate her looks.

Dress: Universal Standard (INFS-AMBTARA for 10% off)
Blazer: ELOQUII
Flats: Target
Necklaces: Miranda Frye (Tara10 for 10% off)
Earrings: Amazon
Lips: KVD Liquid Lipstick
Outfit 2: Alternative Tara
This outfit was actually pretty serendipitous. I recently got these jeans as a “mystery item” add-on for $38 at Universal Standard and when they got here I was terrified because colored pants are not something I do…
That same night as I was debating trying to resell them, Andie’s account (@andiexisabel) popped up on my feed wearing purple pants in an alternative way and when I went to grab one of the black band tees in my drawer the first one was my Bo Burnham “Inside Tour” tee which happened to have purple to it…the universe really did the most here.

Shirt: Bo Burhman Inside Tour (available now on Amazon)
Jeans: Universal Standard (INFS-AMBTARA for 10% off)
Boots: Dr. Martens
Purse: Hellflower 666
This post makes me incredibly happy, because this series is doing what I wanted it to – helping me fall back in love with my wardrobe. You can check out the rest of the “inspired by” looks I’ve done this year here.
XOXO, Tara
