I took a step back from outfit content in August for a couple reasons: it just started to feel like my content was driven by gifted collaborations instead of being focused on outfits I loved and truthfully I just haven’t been feeling like my fun loving self with all the negative things happening in America AND the just nonstop diet culture messaging.

I’ve said it before, but to make it perfectly clear: I do not CARE what anyone else does with their own body, be it tattoos, piercings, gender changes, cosmetic surgeries, abortions, or even weight loss procedures or treatments. But if you are someone who preaches to other people what they can/cannot or have to do with their body – aka push your non trans agenda, take away a woman’s rights to choose, or tell someone they aren’t worth anything unless they do a cosmetic procedure or lose weight – you are vile and it is pathetic that you are wasting your one life being an asshole.

But, being sad doesn’t mean I didn’t still have to get dressed this month (being an adult and not being able to shut down when you want to is the worst) so below I’ll share some of my favorite outfits from the month.

I do think it is also interesting the different coloring in the photos due to how drastically different this month was. Yes, they have filters to help brighten some of them up (I don’t edit my body), but you can easily see how quickly it gets dark now with some images being taken on weeknights.

Matching Set

I originally thought this was a dress so originally I only bought the skirt during the ELOQUII sale not realizing until it got here….🤦‍♀️. Luckily the sale was still happening when I went back to buy the top and now I have two pieces I can mix and match so like Bob Ross says, “there are no mistakes, just happy accidents!”

I’ve been wanting a leopard skirt the last 3 years, but kept talking myself out of it. I finally went for it and loved this cute little end of summer outfit.

Date Night Outfit

I wore this outfit for a date night dinner at a new Italian restaurant near us. The dres is a few years old, and the purse I got from TJ MAXX this year so I can’t exactly link anything, but feel free to use as outfit inspo ❤️

Quirky Fashion

I used to wear a lot more quirky jewelry and clothing but with corporate America being like 75% of my wardrobe, I was dressing with less and less personality. I made a big effort this month (as you can see with the fish purse above also) to re-introduce whimsy and lightheartedness into my wardrobe.
