There’s a reason I online shop: shopping in stores as a US 18 for anything that isn’t a basic is just not reality so when I was looking for some NYE options I went to the one place that always has options (emphasis on the S in options, because there are hundreds).
I understand that fast fashion is problematic, I understand that overconsumption runs rampant, I definitely understand that in this economy supporting local is the ideal, but I also know, first hand, that being plus sized is fucking hard. I’m sick of people complaining about where I’m shopping when the alternatives they give me to SHEIN are other online fast fashion brands. Local stores don’t carry my size so I shop online. Most ethical plus size fashion brands are either too expensive for everyday shopping/are ones you go to for an investment piece, don’t carry my size, OR keep trying to sell us the same tired basics. There are simply just times where I want to look 100% on trend regardless of my size and New Year’s Eve is it for me.

This dress has strings in the back that can be tightened to make this fit more like a halter. However, due to my smaller chest (B cup) I usually go towards off the shoulder or more square tops…there isn’t much cleavage to emphasize haha.
