I’m getting married in less than two months (…that felt very surreal to even type!) and I feel like I’ve searched literally everywhere online for cute dresses for all the pre-wedding events; engagement photos, bridal shower, bachelorette party and the rehearsal/groom’s dinner, etc. so to help all future plus size brides I’ll share some of the ones I’ve liked below.

Engagement Photos

If you’re here for white dress options, don’t worry, I have you covered, but I knew for my engagement photos I wanted a black dress, because it’s my favorite color. I actually lucked out here, because I already had this exact same dress in green so I knew it would be perfect. For those of you looking for white only options – it also comes in white!

Dress: Baltic Born Katya Ruffle Dress
Size: XXXL

Baltic Born is going to appear on this list a few times. I have 6 dresses from them and have bought many a wedding guest dress from them previously. Couple notes:

• You can only return for store credit
• I have some dresses in XXL and some in XXXL. I pay attention to the measurements and how fitted it is to determine which size I want
• Some of their long dresses have liners that only go to mid thigh, which is noticeable and not my favorite. So really look closely at the images

Engagement Party

We didn’t have an engagement party, but one of the dresses I tried on for a Groom’s Dinner Option I think could be great for one! It is a shift dress so although I’m not a belt with dresses person normally, I think in this instance it adds a needed touch.

I also love this dress as an option from Amazon! It could easily work for the Rehearsal/Groom’s dinner as well.

Bachelorette Party Outfits

Full transparency – I don’t have a lot of options here, because for my bachelorette party I’m wearing a wedding dress that I bought from Goodwill and my friends are all going to be wearing old bridesmaids/formal dresses which I am beyond pumped about. It felt like such a fun idea for those old bridesmaid dresses or favorite formal dresses to see the light of day again! However, I will link to some of the items I found during my search that I think would be perfect for a plus size bride at a bachelorette party.

Beach Bach:

Old Navy One Piece – I think this is really dainty, size inclusive and cost affordable

Andie Swim Tulum (this one is expensive, but their swimsuits are definitely quality)

Night Out:

Boohoo Bodysuit – I bought this bodysuit actually for everyday wear, but I could totally see a less traditional bachelorette wearing this with faux leather leggings or white pants.

David’s Bridal Mini Dress – Don’t sleep on David’s Bridal for other bridal event dresses!

Nashville Weekend:

I heard once that Nashville is the #1 bachelorette party destination so I also found a couple options to help inspire country vibes

Wedding Shower

This was another Baltic Born dress that I already had in rust so I knew I’d love it and when my sister told me she was planning to host an outdoor shower, I knew this was the perfect dressy yet casual dress.

Rehearsal/Groom’s Dinner

Some people have never heard the phrase “Groom’s Dinner,” but it’s basically the same as the rehearsal dinner, it just adds in the title since the Groom’s family traditionally hosts it. This is one that I haven’t finalized my dress yet for, but I got options – help me pick one!

This one is currently my top contender. The fabric is so soft and I love how it hugs my curves.

Lulus: Sweet Love Ivory Lace Beaded Dress

I got this as an option in case I wanted to go all out and feel like a princess!

City Chic: Entwine Maxi Dress

This dress would be great for larger busted ladies.

Boohoo: Plus Scuba Midi Skater Dress – This is another one that feels better with a belt (please ignore the wrinkles – I just pulled it out of the bag!)
