In Minnesota this time of year is generally what we refer to as second winter since it tends to be super sunny and warm one day and back to snowing and frigid the next. I do realize we’re not exactly the most “normal” state when it comes to spring so I decided to showcase my favorite timeless spring look 3 ways to show how you can dress it up to still feel like spring even if you need a bit more warmth!

The Base:
I fell in love with the look of a sleeveless bodysuit with a maxi skirt last summer. Here I am adding a bit more edge with combat boots plus as mentioned before, our weather means we’re surrounded by slush for the next couple months as the snow melts. Gross.
I LOVE this SKIMS bodysuit. I now have it in 3 colors and I also have the long sleeved version. Through my link I’ll also share an Amazon version, but I do think that when it comes to fit you get what you pay for and this one pulls you in in all the right places and feels buttery smooth.

Layer Option 1:
Normally I’d default to a black sweater, but the black on black just comes across too harsh and not super “spring.” This sweater has been a closet staple of mine for years and what is what I refer to affectionately as my “grandpa” sweater. Personally, I feel like it gives off Kurt Cobain vibes so I feel like it makes my outfit skew to the grunge side (which I am a fan of).

Layer Option 2:
In a very 90s move I decided to layer over a flannel shirt tied at the waist. I think this still looks trendy and the tied waist helps make this feel pulled together and purposely vs. just a necessary layer.
