I am not someone who listens to country. It doesn’t mean I hate it, I just haven’t been into it since the early 00s when Tim McGraw was at his peak and Taylor Swift still did country. However, while I was going through my closet I realized how many western inspired pieces I had which naturally led to me playing dress up haha.
Without further ado, I present to you three country inspired outfits perfect for the non-country girl who is still headed to Nashville or a country music festival!

Hipster Country:
A classic base with a couple accessories and you got a look!
I actually bought this necklace a few years ago to attend a wedding in Texas and I’m excited to have found a way to make it relevant again, because I haven’t been able to part with it.

Bodysuit: SKIMS
Shorts: Forever 21
Boots: TOMS
Necklace: Old, but linked a similar on Etsy
Hat: Nasty Gal
Fringe + Fray:
Unfortunately, this exact coat is out of stock since I bought it last year, but I linked to some other good options. I kept this outfit basic (outside of the fringe jacket and frayed bottom pants) because that’s my aesthetic, but you could definitely add a belt buckle, hat and some jewelry to really kick this up a country notch!

Bodysuit: SKIMS
Jacket: SHEIN Curve
Jeans: Gap
Boots: TOMS
Girl Next Door:
Maybe this should be called Girl Next Farm?! #dadjoke This outfit is giving me meet cute at the local coffee shop in a small town during a Hallmark movie vibes hahaha
I second guessed myself on the color mix on this one, but in the end, decided the mix of earth tones added to the look, plus nothing says country chic like a jean jacket!

Bodysuit: Abercrombie & Fitch
Jean Jacket: Old Navy
Skirt: J. Crew Factory
Necklace: Etsy
Boots: TOMS
Let me know which outfit you’d wear and which western inspired accessory you’re a fan of!
XOXO, Tara
